New Delhi, 28 January : CISF jawan saves the life of a French passenger by using CPR method at Delhi airport. An official said on Sunday that a CISF personnel gave CPR treatment to a 63-year-old French national, which saved his life. The passenger had fallen unconscious during security check at the airport.

According to CISF, on Friday, Sub-Inspector Puneet Kumar Tiwari, who was doing screening duty on the X-BIS machine in the security hold area of ​​IGI Airport, saw that an elderly passenger standing in the queue for security check had fallen unconscious.

A senior CISF officer said, “The passenger suddenly became unconscious and fell on the floor. Puneet Kumar Tiwari took immediate action and gave CPR treatment to the passenger. On receiving the information, a doctor from Medanta Medical Room also reached there and gave initial treatment to the passenger.

Later, the passenger regained consciousness. “After this the doctor declared him fit to continue his journey,” the official said. The passenger was identified as Bertrand Patrick, who was traveling to Paris on a Vistara flight.
