In a strange incident, a group of women in Vijayawada, filed a police complaint against a dog for tearing a poster of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The complaint was filed after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The complainant, Dasari Udayasree, is said to be a worker of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The women demanded that action be taken against the dog and those behind it for insulting the chief minister, claiming that such an act has hurt the sentiments of six crore people of the state who have huge respect for Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose party won 151 Assembly seats. Udayasree sarcastically requested the police to arrest the dog and its accomplices for insulting their beloved leader.

Earlier, a video had gone viral on social media showing a dog tearing a sticker with Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photo on it, which was pasted on a house as part of the ruling YSR Congress Party’s state-wide survey.
