Eksha Kerung Subba, a contestant from Sikkim on MTV’s Super Model of the Year Season 2 (2021), has been named as the new face of Maybelline, a world-renowned beauty brand. This is exciting news for the people of Sikkim, as Eksha is the first from the small state to achieve such a feat. Known for her bold and dynamic personality, Eksha was born in Rumbuk Village of Western Sikkim and is also passionate about boxing and riding bikes.
Maybelline, the New York-based beauty brand, has also announced other brand ambassadors from India. This includes Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, who will soon make her film debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Also joining the brand are singer and entrepreneur Ananya Birla and badminton champion PV Sindhu.
Maybelline New York held a grand event in Mumbai to unveil its new faces, and glimpses from the event were shared on the brand’s India page on Instagram. While PV Sindhu was absent from the event, she joined online. Ananya and Eksha were dressed in pink ensembles, while Suhana Khan showed up in red.
