According to media reports, Meta, previously known as Facebook, is expected to lay off another round of employees, affecting around 4,000 highly-skilled workers.
This comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in March that the company would be cutting 10,000 jobs in the near future. The affected employees are expected to be notified soon.
Along with the layoffs, Meta will also be announcing reorganized teams and management structures. This latest round of job cuts is part of a broader downsizing effort that will reduce the company’s workforce by approximately 10,000 employees and eliminate around 5,000 unfilled positions.
This comes just four months after the company laid off 11,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, in November of last year.
