Siliguri, 27 March : The judicial hearing regarding the alleged defamation case against the former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Pawan Chamling, has been adjourned by the Jalpaiguri Court to April 27, 2023.
The case pertains to Chamling’s purportedly offensive discourse during the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) Party’s foundation day celebration in Jorethang on March 4, 2014.
Rajen Phuyel, the complainant, has accused Chamling of importing firearms into the state with the intention of causing unrest, citing the speech as evidence.
