Heads up ! No need to worry if you have one WhatsApp account and multiple phones, as it is now possible to use the same account on up to four phones simultaneously.

Mark Zuckerberg announced that users can now log into the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones. While the feature of multi-device has been available for a while, it only allowed users to access WhatsApp from browsers, computers, or Android tablets along with their primary phone. With the new update, users can log in to other phones as well, but the limit is up to four phones only. WhatsApp has named this feature “One WhatsApp account, now across multiple phones” and it is already rolling out to users globally. It will be available to all users in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to link up to four devices to the same WhatsApp account. This feature will be beneficial for users who use different phones and want to access their WhatsApp account on all of them. Moreover, it will also be useful for small businesses, as multiple employees can send and receive messages from the same business number on different phones.

With this update, messages will be synced across the different phones for up to a year. Even if one of your phones is switched off, you can still access your messages on other phones as each phone connects individually. All chats, media, and calls will be end-to-end encrypted on every phone. If your primary device remains inactive for a long time, WhatsApp will automatically log you out of all the companion phones.

To set up the feature, instead of entering your phone number and logging in as usual, you can tap on a new “link to existing account” feature. Then, a QR code will be displayed, which can be scanned by your primary phone through the “link a device” option in settings, and you will be logged in to the second phone.

This new feature will be available on both WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
