Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey also advocated for an open-source protocol for Twitter. Musk supported this idea and found it fascinating when Dorsey suggested it over text messages during legal proceedings related to Musk’s lawsuit against Twitter. This announcement comes after six months since Musk took over the platform and implemented various changes, such as mass layoffs and the Blue subscription service.
