Singtam, April 16: A young woman lost her life while a man sustained injuries after a private vehicle met with an accident along NH10 near Sangkhola Sumin Fatak on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at around 8:40 AM when an i20 Active car bearing no SK 0PB 3785 , heading towards Gangtok, reportedly veered off the road. The vehicle had two occupants — the owner, Shiva Chettri, and a lady (21).
Following the accident, Shiva Chettri suffered a fracture in his arm, while lady succumbed to her injuries. Body of deceased has been sent for postmortem.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the accident.
