On Monday, officials reported that a suspected crude bomb was discovered in the Kawakhali area of Siliguri, West Bengal. After receiving the information, a bomb disposal squad and heavy police force rushed to the spot, and fire tenders were also sent. The bomb was recovered from the verandah of a house in Kawakhali adjacent to Netaji More.
Upon receiving news of the incident, medical post and Matigara police arrived at the scene. The CID bomb squad was also informed about the incident. The squad reached the location and recovered the bomb. According to sources, a family dispute had been ongoing in the said house for some time. Last night, two family members had an argument, and two youths allegedly fled away after throwing the bomb. The police have initiated an investigation into the entire incident.
