A tragic incident occurred at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), where a female student succumbed to injuries after falling from the eighth floor of a hostel building.
The student, identified as Puspita Das (20), was a first-year BTech student from Assam.
She was immediately rushed to Central Referral Hospital (CRH), but doctors declared her brought dead.
