A 12-year-old girl, a student and was wearing her school uniform, was found dead in the Pangthang jungle near Gangtok. The Gangtok Sadar Police discovered her body and have registered a case under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation into the case has commenced, as confirmed by Gangtok SP, IPS Tenzing Loden Lepcha, to the local media.
On Saturday according to media report in morning when a villager went to a nearby jungle for collecting fodder for cattle sighted body , person immediately rushed to his village and informed about the incident.
A body has been sent for postmortem by police.
