The ‘Conditional Order’ despatched from the District Collectorate East Sikkim Office against NHIDCL where the series of anomalies, discrepancies and nonconformity in discharging duty by NHIDCL is elaborated.
Mainly the Highway between Rangpo to Zero Point Gangtok is in the deplorable and dismaying condition despite the administrative authority and NHDICL seated for the meeting two months back over the public issue concerning same. But, the NHIDCL until now has not not met to their promise for discharging their duty of maintaining the NH10.

It may be noted that every now and then the pitiable condition reports and pictures of National Highway 10 NH10 are published in newsprint media as well as posted in social media pages, where flocking numbers of craters as deep as 1 feet and wide upto 2 meters and 3 meters in size , clogged drain, abandoned back-cutting works and unattended treacherous wall are visible along the highway from Rangpo to Zero Point Gangtok and even the alternative Highway of Indira Byepass in Gangtok.

There have been several major accidents just because of NHIDCL negligence, and several lives are lost but the pendency continues in looking unto grave situation regardless NHIDCL is less bothered to do their work properly and diligently.

NHIDCL is seemingly unbecoming trustworthy institution for the service of the people, rather is become cramming liability for the border state of Sikkim which is strategically important for the defence purpose equally since there are no other mean of transportation. The paramount of raining allegations and complaints against NHIDCL is well understood that they lack competency as well as ethics of work culture which indicated they are not eligible troubleshooters rather the troublemakers for the citizens and for the national integrity.
