CM inspects Namchi infrastructures and District Hospital
09 Sep , Namchi (IPR): The Chief Minister Mr. Pawan Chamling visited various sites in and around Namchi today. The Chief Minister was accompanied by DC South Mr. Raj Yadav alongside Officials, NMC members and various other dignitaries.
The Chief Minister’s inspection commenced from Namchi Car Parking Plaza wherein he examined the various commercial outlets and shops located in the plaza. He emphasised upon the maintenance and cleanliness of the Car Parking Plaza and stressed that hygiene should be a major priority for locals and tourists alike.
After inspecting the Car Parking Plaza, the Chief Minister visited Central Park and thereafter he headed towards District Hospital, Namchi. At, District Hospital the CM visited various wards namely Trauma Centre, Mother and Child Health Care, Orthopedic and Surgical clinic, Department of Dentistry and General OPD, Pediatric and Neonatal clinic, Bio-Chemistry ward, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology section among others. He interacted with the doctors, staff and patients admitted in each ward wherein the Chief Minister discussed the medical care and review provided in these wards. At the hospital Dr. D.C. Sharma DMS, Namchi briefed the Chief Minister in detail about the overall status of the district hospital. Mr. Chamling also took stock of the needs and requirements of each department present in the district hospital. He directed the Doctors and Staff of the hospital to provide quality health care services to the patients and urged the hospital staff to deliver their duties and responsibilities diligently and extend their best service to the public.
In the course of the inspection, the Chief Minister informed the hospital staff for timely submission of DPRs for renovation of Operation Theatre and Labour Room, repair of hospital quarters, dedicated water supply and complete repair of sanitary including drain lines, washrooms and toilets present in the district hospital. Mr. Chamling also updated that the district hospital needs to regularly purchase medicine which is of vital need on a timely manner. He also directed the administration to submit the list of man power required by the hospital such as nursing staff, Safai Karamchari and Ward attendance. The Chief Minister also informed that a paediatrician and Gynecologist specialist will be provided to the Namchi District Hospital at the earliest. In addition he also updated that need for an ambulance will also be looked into on a priority basis.
