AAP makes debut in state of Sikkim
11 Feb, Gangtok : The politics of small state Sikkim prior to the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha poll has started gaining a momentum as debate and discussion among the people also turns discreet related to choice of leaders in their opinions. This time the Aam Aadmi Party AAP of Arvind Kejriwal, Kejriwal who’s also the CM of Delhi his party has made an impinging debute in state making corruption the major agenda. Not more than a year old national party AAP has been formed the AAP has made its root firm in North East states strongly said North East AAP Incharge Habung Payeng who is also the executive of national committee of AAP during a press interaction at capital Gangtok on 11 February.
Making a sling shot attack on ruling government SDF , Payeng said that 20 years of leadership did not bring any changes in the state but corruption graph exceeded all limits, in such scenario the people requires a change in the system, this very state Sikkim requires a dedicated leader he added. In the yet another attack Payeng scolded SKM party for copying style of AAP citing example of Delhi formula of slashing electricity tariff, he said that is copying. Payeng also stressed formation of Lokayukt in state and accused SDF government on rampant misuse of natural resources with mushrooming Hydel Projects.
Sikkim AAP party will be headed by President Kushal Rai, who told media that in bringing party to Sikkim was decided in new Delhi after deliberation of state problems with Kejriwal on 4 Feb 2014. Rai said that the party has an ample of ground with vital members, supporters in beginning itself, the party has acclaimed that more than 400 members have already registered their membership with AAP in party’s online portal. AAP will reach each nook of the state , corners to interact with the people and aware AAPs agendas. Rai thanked its members for setting up AAP unit in state. Kick start prepatory committee members are as follows, Prasant Lamichaney, Dorjee D Bhutia, Santosh darjee, Thendup lepcha, Vijay Karkidoli, Arun Bhujel and Bimal Darjee.
