7 Dec,Mangan: The district officials of HRDD, North headed by Jt.Director, SD Bhutia assisted by Asst.Director, HRDD, BAC Chungthang, ST Lepcha, Sr.Accountant BRCC, Mangan BAC & BRCC Chungthang, CRCC Lachen & Chungthang. The programme held at conference hall of SDM office, Chungthang on December 6th.
The meeting was chaired by Zilla Adhyaksha, K Lepcha coordinated by BDO, Samdup Bhutia, Panchayat president, Lendup Lepcha & other panchayats and headmasters, SMC & teachers of different schools.
In the meeting, various schemes being impleted by the HRDD, North were brought to the notice of all. Special Residential Training(STR) being undertaken under SSA wing was explained in detail by the Block Resource Centre Coordinator, BAC, Kalzang Bhutia. He also informed on other interventions in SSA schemes as Indusive education for disability.
Thereafter, the Sr.Accountant of HRDD, bought to the notice about the problems faced by the teacher faculty at the BAC level specially funds transferred to panchayati institutions(PRIs). He also retarated that due to untimely submission of utilization certificates grant of teachers funds were being delayed and he appealed to accounts staff for submission of timely UCS to the department showing all the GPU wise fund utilised.
Panchayat president, Chungthang, also reterated for maintaining proper accounts by RDAs and providing proper training to the accounts staff. The Sr.Accountant suggested for maintaining a cash book at GPU level and reconcilation should be done with the concerned bank.
Jt.Director, HRDD, expressed gratitude to everyone for valuable suggestions and sharing their views to solve the problems faced by teachers, ensuring smooth and timely release of funds under Panchayati Raj Institutions.
