15 Nov,Gangtok/IPR: Four days residential training programme on preparation of Business Development Plan and Review of Common Accounting System for the Managers of M.P.C.S Ltd. was held at the Conference Hall of Sahakari Bhawan, Tadong Gangtok from 07.11.2011 to 10.11.2011. The Training Programme was inaugurated by Shri A.K. Chettri, IAS, Secretary Cooperation. The Programme was coordinated by Shri. C.N. Khanal, Additional Registrar and Shri. K.P.Sharma, A.R.C.S Cooperation Department. The resource persons Shri. R.L. Sharma, Shri Bivas Lamichaney and M/S Rinchen Ongmu from Sikkim State Cooperation Banks imparted the training to 27 Managers of Multipurpose Cooperative Societies of four district of Sikkim.
With implementation of Vaidanathan Committee Reports for recapitalization and legal reforms on the Cooperative Credit Institution the above training was necessary for standarisation of working of the MPCS in the State. During the four days training the duties and responsibilities of Managers, maintenance of book of Accounts as per Common Accounting System, proceeding for holding annual general meeting diversification of business activities, flow of credit to the members and preparation of authentic business development plan have been taught.
The five batches of such training programme also held in SIRD, Karfectar, South Sikkim during .July- August 2011. Where 132 Managers had been trained. Till today 159 Managers been trained out of 169 Managers.
The above programme had been conducted from the financial support from the NABARD R.O, Gangtok. In last session of the training programme Dr. Om Prakash and Sanjay Joglekar, A.G.M from NABARD also highlighted about Implementation of Vaidanathan Committee Reports for the development of rural economy through Cooperative institution.
