Team IYC visited North Sikkim

26 Sep,Gangtok: A 30 member team of Indian Youth Congress (within or outside sikkim) in the leadership of Mrs Mausam Benzir Noor, PYC President West Bengal, Shri Baptu Chakraborty, Secretary IYC, In-charge Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and West Bengal PYC and Avinash Yakha State Cordinator SPYC, RO, Member AICC, PCC have visited the most Earthquake affected area in North Sikkim today on 26 September, 2011. The team distributed Blankets, Jacket, T-Shirt, Baby Cloths, Plates, Mug, Tourch Light, Utensil, Dry Food etc amounting to 1 lacs Approx. directly to the victims in their Relief Camp.(Photo attached). Lastly the handed over the remaining Relief Materials to District Magistrate Mangan, North Sikkim Shri S. K. Pradhan, Shri B. K. Lama SDM Mangan and other Official in-charge for Relief. The details are as under:

Mug: 200nos.
Torch Light: 250 nos.
Blanket :100 pics.
Jacket:300 nos.
Biscuit:100 Cartoons
Cake:5 Cartoons.
Egg:3 Cartoons.
DM North Sikkim has assured us that the materials will reach to the most genuine victims. He also briefs our team about the present condition of the Earthquake affected area. We feel that the lives of North Sikkim people are really in very deteriorate condition. The team had assured to DM that IYC is ready to extend any help in any condition if necessary.
