22 Sep,Mangan: Total death figure in North Skm is 61. Today 1 dead body recovered from Lachung of CPWD staff body taken to Distt.hospital Mangan. ITBP Inspector General dispatched 1000nos blankets & 200 nos Tents for earth quake victims of North District. NDRF teams are unable to operate their rescue operation as they are facing several problems due to difficult stretch and if Army choppers are available then the team can reach the affected areas easily for fast operation. The State IRB & SAP rescue troops have reached Sakyong village today. Abir Infrastructure under Teesta Urja Ltd, are providing transportation from Chungthang from Adit II & III through Theng and Shipgyer, several vehicle owners volunteers of Mangan & Dzongu, Iceberg Tours & Travels for affected people who have reached Mangan. Employ of AITPL, Kaziman Rai & K Kr Rai have doing well job in transportation to affected people through tunnel. Head of HR under Teesta Urja, Rt.Brig.Ranjeet Mishra have been providing water & electricity to the affected areas of Saffo.

Today on Sept.22nd Area MLA, Lachen –Mangan informed Media that massive flash flood occoured today at Lachung in that case only livestocks & houses with ITBP vehicles have been damaged and no lives have been affected in the area and rescue teams have reached the spot and to maintain the electricity engineers and staffs have reached today at Lachung and there is no such panic situation matters at the area and public are still safe. The fast food packets are being provided through Army choppers at all affected areas.

West Bengal Government has provided instant lunch packs 230 bags for affected people, World Vision(NGO) from Kalimpong had also provided Ration goods & essential commodities for victims today. Tholung Gumpa and Lingzya Sheda is also damaged due to quake. And public of the area is staying at Lingzya school for safe.
