17 Sep,Gangtok: A two- day parent – Teacher – SMC & SMDC meeting was organized at Sir T. N. Sr. Sec. School on 15th & 16th Sept.’11 in the school auditorium. The meeting was held stepwise under three categories senior secondary level, secondary level and middle school level. The response from the parents was overwhelming. The principal of the school Mr. K. B. Chettri, in his address highlighted on the successful implementation of CCE, brilliant results of the school in the board exams. He also reiterated his intention to make the school best disciplined school and achieve 100% result in board exams also. He also apprised that strict disciplinary action will be taken if any student is found carrying unwanted materials like drugs or has been found under the influence of alcohol during school hours. He also added that surprise visits will be conducted to different sports of the town and video recording will be done if any student is found loitering around during school hours. The parents unanimously consented to the proposals put forth by the principal. The guardians also expressed their utmost satisfaction regarding the results of the school and improvement in discipline. The parents as part of the civil society assured that they would intimate the school with evidence if they found any student involved in in disciplinary activities anywhere in the town. The meeting ended with the parents knowing about their word’s performance and attendance from the respective class teachers. The presence of almost 98% of the parents, their consent to the proposals, their positive response proved the meeting to be a highly successful one. It is believe that such interaction and cooperation from both the sides can definitely bring a viable change in the academic institutions
