13 Sep, Rangpo: MLA Yuksom-Tashiding cum Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture and Irrigation Dawcho Lepcha has referred Nagarik Suraksha Sanghatan Sikkim NASSS as Anti-Sikkim. Minister Lepcha in a programme called by Department of Animal Husbandry at Karfectar at Jorthang said that element like NASSS which is against the “Sikkim Public Order Bill” clearly indicates that it is trying to tarnish a peace & tranquillity prevailing in state such anti-people organisation are purely anti-Sikkim. Criticising the rally called by the NASSS on 24 August, minister said that such organisation which took a aid of national flag in one hand and banner of Anna Hazare in another hand protested against the Public Order Bill are indeed trying to make a future of Sikkimese people towards dark edge. By protesting against the Bill the NASSS is trying to spoil the future of Sikkim children by allowing consumption and sale of liquors to children’s below 18 years of age. SDF government has set a dream to make Sikkim a prosperous state whereas an intention of organisation like NASSS is trying to create a haul “Public Order Bill”. The Bill restricts bans on consuming and selling of illicit substances in the state which directly would benefit the state but organisation like NASSS do not want state to improve, said minister Dawcho Lepcha

This is what I hate about the so-called politicians of Sikkim. He has been invited in an Animal Husbandry Dept. programme, but he is busy talking politics.
God Save Sikkim from such useless Ministers- give them 50 years of Ministership, Sikkim will stay the same.

what the hell going in our state?the chamling govt. had no logic anymore.
as u say -give them 50years of ministership,i want to add one more. give them 51years of ministership.nothing we can wish more than that.

Our Honourable Minister's statement on 'Public Order Bill' is very very misleading.
FYI Mr. Minister most of the Sikkimese people can read and by making such statements you are only making a fool of yourself.
Why do you need the Sikkim Public Order Bill ? Everything that this Bill is aimed at addressing is provided for in the Indian Penal Code. Governments enact too many laws but fail to implement them.
And I agree with everyone that the Minister should not use official programmes for political speeches.
And I also agree that Dawchoo Lepcha's DNA test should be done to confirm that he is a Lepcha.
And I also agree that he should be sent for Rehab.
