Sikkim Liberation Party accuses former and present CMs
16 May,Gangtok: Newly formed Sikkim Liberation Party (SLP) submitted a memorendum to the Prime Minister and Home Minister of India accusing that two families have hijacked the democracy of Sikkim and misused the power and have in such a rampant manner misused the funds and resources which in fact are the contribution of those humble tax payers.
The party formed on 6th May 2011 in its memorandum further says that during the past 30 years, the two Chief Minister who ran the show or rather made mockery of democracy, have been indicted in the corruption have amassed and misused the Grants in Aids and all other funds sent by the Centre as their ancestral property.
Signed by Duk Nath Nepal, convenor the press release regarding the memorandum accuses that the fund flow during the past three decades have only benefited two families and their near ones, leading to feeling of betrayal among the mass against the Government of India. It further says that ” In the name of developmental activities, massive influx is being encouraged leading to depopulating and de-establishing of the indigenous Lepcha, Bhutia and Nepali community. Sikkimese people are being subjected to feeling of insecurity by ways of flagrant violation of Constitutional safeguard under Article 371 (F). In the name of development, a diabolical force is being coerced to destroy the social structure of Sikkim.”
It further states that the exemption from Central Income Tax is being blatantly abused and the leaders as well the Central Ministers and other high level officials who are being send to observe and monitor are turning blind eyes to the fact and presenting rosy picture as they are given a ceremonial treatment, they ever had dreamed of.
The memorandum warns that, “if the Government of India cannot keep the promise made to our forefathers and if there shall be any kind of disturbances or impediment during our exercise of restoring the value of democracy and if our move is tried to be suppressed, our faith would be lost; and where we would be restricted against enjoying the democracy as assured and guaranteed under the Indian Constitution, it would take no time for us to take a different course.”

SIKKIM is one state in INDIA which has effectively incorporated corruption and institutionalized corrupt whimsical system into society to the extent of it becoming legal. SIKKIM desperately need change of guard and change of image. talk to any politician in Delhi and he will tell you to implement the Sikkim model of corruption where society have accepted it as a legal way of life. live and get living and thus live.
Youth is sikkim will need to wake up before it is too late, why should a old man like chamling, Bandari or even Golay decide our future, there are no employment but getting into poltics as a visionary leader is not a small task, politicians are the best job in the world, no person can ever serve his / her nation over a short period other than the Politicians but it sad 99.9 person of the politicians we have in the world are non visionary leaders, hence it is looked upon as dirty job, for some one like ABJ Abdul Kalam its a great job…

Exactly, these duo are ideal of corruption and sadism…as factual they had and its is misfortune of sikkim that one is still fabricating the innocent citizen to accumulate the fortune of our state for their royal living…when fact concerns and as I look back I see just a dab supporters and then I wonder where goes the vote…

All the politician talked about corruption till the time when then they are not in power. Once they manage to take the reign they also follow the suit and fits in to the same shoe. If any individual or organization is so much concerned about corruption' he or she should take legal course in the form of PIL. Even so called RTI activist in Sikkim so far have not approached court despite the facts that have the required information under RTI. There for it is better not to shed crocodile's tears. Instead of going to Governor individual or organisation should approach court for remedies.

it is possible for all the young people of sikkim to make our sikkim corruption free by making grass root people aware about the corrup politician and bureaucrats. All corrupt bureacrats and politicians should hanged untill death.
we should not be happy about the step taken by CM. This may be his political strategy. As he did in the last election by pushing Thuckchuk Lachungpa in Dr. A.D. Subba's Party. In the same manner this may be CM's fox idea to step down the popularity of Golay. All of us have to wait and watch.

government is the sole authority and has the power to adopt or reject corruption, normal person outside the system does not encourage corruption but simply get out of the trouble by bribing, so some one from the higher authority need to to led and live by an example,
