Upreti slams Chamling on LT Issue
The Chairman of National Commission for Schedule Tribe Mr Rameshwar Oroan, by categorically stating that he is unaware of the demand made for Limboo Tamang seats from the Sikkim Government and also Tribal State status for Sikkim demanded by the State Government. This has fully exposed the “ FOOLING PEOPLE POLICY” of Mr Chamling. Before the election and also thereafter he has been claiming that the state government is strongly advocating and pursuing the case of Limboo Tamang Reservation and also for the other left-outs to categorize as Tribals. This has been proved false by the statement of the Chairman, ST Commission, Mr Oroan. If Mr Oroan is right than where did Mr Chamling send all those resolution passed by the house in 2008 and also thereafter ? Was this all his fooling game ? This is most unfortunate and astonishing fact and we condemn it in no uncertain terms. Even if the resolution had been sent to the Central Government they would have redirected it to the tribal commission as the subject falls within their ambit to examine. The highest and the most honoured institution of the State like Sikkim Legislative Assembly has been made a mockery and is a strong case of contempt of the house and denigration of a highest democratic Institution. The Chief Minister Mr Chamling must clarify to the people about all these affairs.
