30 March, Gangtok: Where the whole nation was curiously awaiting for a judgement day at Mohali, in this tiny Himalayan state of India the people were seen ever more excited to witnessthe victory of home team in Mohali. Everywhere, each and every nook of in this state onyl the thing that was observed was a tri-colour flag fluttering and one word in everyone’s lips right from childrens to veterans ‘Chak Dey India!’. Streets of town and rural parts were decorated like never before, victory slogans were observed in all across the empty walls, tattooed faces with tri colours and smile on faces made every moment of the ‘Judgement Day’ very splendour. In the major town areas of the state vehicles were seen plying with flags and wish lets stickers. In the entire state everything stopped spontanously as if something is approaching nearer as the clock dialling needle crossed 12 ‘O Clock.
The people took a great pride watching the semi final match between India and Pakistan,all they shouted with one voice ‘this is final for us!’. Major towns of statePakyong, Gangtok, Namchi, Geyzing,Ranipool, Rangpo, Singtam, Jorthang, Soreng, Mangan, Rhenock etc was reeled in a bizarre of colourful decorations. On each 1′s ,2′s 3′s and 4′s of team India people took a great enthusiasm whooping with big roaring scream and sound. In MG Marg at capital a beautiful lane was decorated with big tri colour flyer, a public display of match was installed where people from all walks of life gathered and cherished as they watched the match LIVE! In South District headquarter Namchi same was a watchful moment during the entire match at Central Park. The people expected that India would set a target above 300 but with final target set 260, the people didn’t lose their temptation. With a geek underlined beneath their lips and finger crossed as the Pakistani top order batsman toppled down one by one the expression of people blemished will fury and wild. The match turned on Indian side when number of balls remained unbeatable chase in the very last wicket, even as math continued people begin to celebrate knowing that victory has bestowed the nation in grand manner. The last wicket of Pakistan was also
crushed making Pakistan ‘All Clean Out’ that concluded the Big Fight Diplomatic Game between home Blue Army and Pakistan on the big screen and television screens of every house and streets across the state.
