Holi Dhamaal 2011 started with prayers for Japan Tsunami victims
14 March, Rangpo: Each year Holi festival is celebrated with full enthusiasm and vibes in the state, this time a little silence was observed in the mood of people due to ongoing catastrophe in neighbouring country Japan. The pre-holi festival called Holi Dhamaal was organised at Mining Cafeteria by Rangpo and Singtam Marwadi Manch. SDPO Rangpo R.K Sundas graced the celebration function as a Chief Guest. Minutes of silence was bestowed praying towards the Tsunami victim of Japan.
The guest’s artists from Kolkata gave a live performance with a sizzling songs, dances and vivid cultural folk attraction of Rajasthan. The marwadi families from Rangpo, Singtam, Tadong, Rhenock, Ranipool etc witnessed the colourful programme. During the programme Rajendra Mangla presented a welcome speech followed by Dev Anand Agarwal who presented a thanks giving. Praveen Agarwal , Sajjan Agarwal came forward actively in sharing hands for making the programme more bizarre. Chief Guest in his speech offered his gratitude towards the organising committee, he urged the Marwadi community to come forward in all aspect to infuse the tradition and cultural vibes by hosting such programmes in future.
