15 Mar, Namchi: Sudden gushed of wind called Whirl wind was witnessed today at around 9:40 am in different part of South district damaging many houses and the trees of reserve forests of South district. South district witnessed the blow of whirl wind people were preparing to move to their works. It was informed by the DPO Disaster Risk Management, Land Revenue Department that blow of wind was witnessed at around 9:40 am and the wind is called whirl wind. He also informed that they were informed that wind had damage many houses and the trees of the reserve forests but no casualties had been informed yet. The blow of wind was witnessed at Namchi, Damthang, Ravangla and in several part of South District but no written report had been received by the district authorities. He also informed that they were reported that one women was wounded at Bhanjyang Road Namchi but she sustained only minor injuries. DPO further informed they were reported that many roof of the houses was blown by the wind but no written report has been received by them and the authority will find the damages from tomorrow according to the verbal report received by them.
