Chief Minister Inaugurating the Centennial Function at Chintan Bhawan
14 March: During a special Sikkim Chapter Commonwealth Parliamentarian Centennial function held in Chintan Bhawan at capital today the Chief Guest Chief Minister Pawan Chamling throttled the state Human Resource and Development Department HRDD. In his speech he said that even after completing almost 2 months of new session in the government school the department is failing to dispense texts books to the students. The department is notoriously trying to deceive the future of student by doing so, he said. Chief Minister slammed that the fund was allocated in pervious financial year itself for rendering the texts books for the schools but still no sign of work has been done in that case. Education is a serious matter and it shall not be tolerated, he said.
While mentioning about the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for the poor and deprived , he hit hard over the discrepancy in catering benefits to the genuine students. The benefit meant for the poor students are chipped for children’s of well to do families by virtue of relationship and vested power under personal ground. He warned against the biasing process during nomination of scholarship benefits to the poor and deprived students. It may be noted that the CMSMS offers a government sponsored package for the poor and meritious student of society to pursue their studies in pioneering schools within the state and country.
This is an act of crass, the "Human Resource and Development Department" is crammed full of "sickos". Education is a serious matter and yes it is Dr. Chamling is trying his personal level best to provide quality education.
If HRDD fails to corporate in this fraternity, than there ain't no worse than this.
At the other hand Dr. Chamling’s worthwhile effort for making Sikkim fully literate state of nation will simply go in vain.
Therefore, strict action must be taken respectively………
And hon’ble Sir, there is few to be taken well care of in health dept as well.
"I completely agree with you Mr.Tiger",,,"There should be no room for error when it comes to education"….
when the government has alloted funds for the purchase of material to be distributed to school children in the last fiscal year why is the department delaying in placing the supply order thereby causing this delay in distribution of the materials. as far as i know till date the supply order for the uniform has not yet been placed. then this department also faced the stick when the question papers also leaked, what is this department upto….why are they playing with the future of the students?
the secretary and other officials of the department need to be taken into account for all this misdeeds.
