Simple citizen makes a lot of sense.Simple citizen should also speak for MRs and people working on adhoc basis who are paid meagre amounts for the same work done by regular employees.

Disparity breeds dissatisfaction there this should not be overlooked.

As the President of so called Sikkim Sachet Swarojgar Birojgar Sanghathan are you sure that the salary increase of govt employees will hurt the interest of the people of Sikkim. If you do not know about the norms and rules under which the pay revision is taking place than’ you deserve to be unemployed ‘.The employees of Sikkim are also equal partners in the development of Sikkim,they too are citizens with equal and unalienable rights under the law of this country.Why is this opposition to pay increase now?Why did you not oppose when the 4th pay commisssion was constituted.The answer is now being known to all people.Your so called organisation is the part of SDFitself,or will you deny that you are a active member of SDF party.You are taking instructions from whom it is well known to everyone.You were even seen at the residence of your ruling supremo before the press release.Surprised! yeah word travels fast,don’t be a scapegoat to other people’s deeds.lastly about the impact on Sikkim’s economy due to pay hike let me tell you last year it was publicized that the Sikkim budget has defecit below 50 lakhs,revenue was increasing from internal taxation about 1200 crores per year,12% revenue from hydroprojects,Funding from NE Council Funds,Central Govt. Grant-in-Aid for Plan and Non-Plan Sectors loans,aid money from various donor agencies national and international.If you are so concerner about Sikkim then fight for the right of workers being mistreated by PharmaCompanies,demand more facilities and oppurtunities for the unemployed and underpriviledged,fight to finish political and bereuucratic corruption,rights of the people displaced by projects,employment in Hydro Projects I’m sure you get the support of like minded people.Be genuinely concerned about Sikkim and Sikkimese people don’t be a puppet of an old fox who has all the tricks in his bag to remain in power by dividing, destroying the unity of us “The real barefooted people of Sikkim” . What we need now is proper fiscal management and optimum utilization of our resources.The real problems lie in broken promises to the people,govt. employees included.If you have guts than stop the emptying of public exchequer by awarding( above in contracts works above the given percentages) to contractors dear to politicians resulting in loss of hundreds of crores per year and wasteful official expenditure by Ministers,MLAs and officials by procuring fancy vehicles, furnishings,highest per capita nominated Chairmen and Chairpersons in India, Advisors to every department (Double MLA in every constituencies),and demand action against rampant corruption in Sikkim.

Increase the salary of Non-gazated emp[oyees by cutting from gazeted officers since corruption is higher in higher level.., even they are cut , gets bail out and promoted after few days. How many officers are punished till now ,? answer is NIL..
SSSBS should be cautious, if we reveal who has created and who is running it and who is mastermind of SSSBS, you people will be in big problem. Are not you people being misused?

it is surprising that all the money of Sikkim Junta should be diverted to please 35000 employees and the rest of citizens remain starved for lack of development funds.

The high salaries have already made the youth not to go for self enterprise where he can earn at the most a Peon salary or a deputy secretary salary at the most.

The government jobs should be made unattractive by reducing the salaries.

The ordinary citizens have to work for 365 days whereas Government employyee just work for 180 days in a year and that also for 6 hours each day out of which 4 hours is for gossiping. Furthur they earn thru Corruption charges which is so common in Sikkim.

The answer is:

Either make the salaries of employyes half of what they get now to make this area unattractive.

Else the retirement age be reduced to 40 years so that fresh unemployed youth get a chance to get government employment.
