In view of the ongoing political scenario when bunch of rumors and unseen activities seems to have started flowing in the political pulse of Sikkim, we request the Sikkimese Bhutia Lepcha people to maintain utmost calm and strengthened its stability without getting tempted to such flow or activities. It is the ‘posterity’ that should be calling shots in our every moves and contemplation of today. We have already lost many of our innate and historic rights; we cannot afford to do so any more. A vigil society is the only ‘check’ to it. It must be remembered that we, the BLs have been used in the past to fulfill the selfish end of certain concentrated individuals, this trend has to be stopped once and for all.
We have been in constant touch with the Indian Government as regard to our varied matters and issues pertaining to our survival and protection. At the same time, it is inspiring to mention here about Indian Government’s sympathetic approach and consideration to the cause of Sikkimese Bhutia Lepchas as appraised by the SIBLAC.
It is further notified through this communication that any individual in general and more so, our BLs in particular, who would wish to understand our issues, may contact us in the above mentioned address and contact numbers. SIBLAC would also be happy to share with them with its ongoing activities and consultation with the Indian Government on varied issues in anticipation of progressive response and advices.
With regards

It is too late now. Still Guru Padmasambhava’s blessings are their to secure your future.
Bhutias well educated and they have the best of education which means that they are welI empowered .
I think we should have a sikkimese society where all should be treated equally and not on the basis of caste colour or ethnicity. If we do not realise this mistake people like Chamling will continue to thrive and take advantage.
Arise awake ………….
After LD Kazi, (who was from BL community,) who is running Sikkim and why ours’ ,the Nepali of Sikkimese origin seats in Sikkim Assembly are not restored yet ? …despite it is first agenda in all political parties of Sikkim in every election’s menifesto..,
When we can not protect and fight for ourselves , let them fight for themself. ……..,Let’s not be like monkeys:- ” badar ley afno ghar pani banow dai na ,ani arkako ghar pani banow nu dhidai na.”
there are handful of people like Ren. Tseten Tashi Bhutia who has been constantly fighting for the rights of BL community of Sikkim..we are indebted to him for his activities….
Vickey is right, long live Tseten Tashi.
Wat about the lepchas hunger strke????????????I remember whn i left country it was may be around 300 days thn……..i just want to knw wat happnd to thm …are they still on hunger strike or has it been called off…..did thy get wat they want…..Poor guys they did ther best n i mst say there unity was awesome …If we are United thn not a thing cn harm us…
Tseten Tashi was also a minister in the first or second Chamling govt and is a dignified opportunist and a shrewd politician -one who plays his card from behind the curtain.
What is the point dividing the society into Bhutia Lepcha Nepali etc.Yes it does make good sense to segregate a community into rich middle class and poor and help the poor to come up in life. But the idea of GAC and SIBLAC is utter nonsense and beyond the realms of logic. In this day and age if you think in terms of Bhutia Nepali Lepcha etc despite being educated thats very shameful and you are no less than Chamling or any corrupt politician. What a waste of education!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No offence to Bhutias or Lepchas or Gorkhas but these are dirty organisation and playground for rascals like GM Rai and Tseten Tashi.
Common lets make sense .I will really appreciate even if the current govt opens a cell to encourage and support intercaste and community marriage between the three communiteis.
I guess this will be a perfect solution if not for today but definitely for tomorrow to unify Sikkimese people.
We should pull down the narrow domestic walls that divide us in every way. That will be a great way forward and will pave way for the birth of a good government.
bhojraj you’re right. why segregate and discriminate-we sikkimese-nepali, bhutia and lepcha including the marwaris should be ONE!!! siblac, gac…….what crap!!! let not these rascals fool us any longer. together we should bring down the most communal man-the CM-and let the educated people take us forward!!!
