Sikkim records 16457 child labour
GANGTOK, November 25: Sikkim records 16457 child labour cases in the State.This data complies with the 2001 census conducted by the Registrar General of India, which also says that the number of working children in the country is 1.26 crore.
The information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour & Employment Harish Rawat in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
It was further informed that the Census conducted by the Registrar General of India is the only authentic source of information on the number of working children.

Pathetic.What does Chamling have to say on this?I guess his answer would be that the children are outsiders.
most of them work in the minister’s houses hehe..and the rest 31 are the MLAs..who work for the CM heheh
So what 16457 child labour ? Are they i mean , 31 MLAs, Chairmans & Chairpersons, Advisors , member in commissions and committes etc.,…. are not Chamling’s labour???? Shame on them….., they should look at the mirror and ask themselves…are we human being?//
