Sikkim, the new home for Industrialization

16 Nov, Gangtok: More and more factories and Industries are trying to acquire best possible land in State of Sikkim now a days, they are paying hansom amount for sellers too. The trains of factories is popping up all the way on NH31 A industrial belts, and some factories are even setup at new locations within the state. Why are these things happening all of sudden, has anyone tried to find a answer to this question?
This is mainly due to the Government’s Policies Exemption of Duty and Tax in most parts of North East and Sikkim, area based exemption so called. It may be noted that rate of increase in density of industrialization in Sikkim is comparatively large compared to any other states in North East. Most parts of North Eastern state like Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya where people’s have discarded any factories to be setup within the state which may in future be a matter of concern on local environment. The industries or the factories remain as long it is exempted from government policies, incentives which may suit their profit making business. As long there is a good returns from government end they do their production once the policies get tight then they choose for the new locations. Some of the states have raised their policies to curb revenue from the industries by increasing or implementing duty tax or something in form of revenue generation which forced industries to uproot their setup and wander for a location where they can re-establish their forms either for a short period of time instead.
