Sikkim would always leap ahead in terms of protecting Himalayan environment,: Chamling

14 Nov,Gangtok: Sikkim has always been pioneer in delivering a peace, tranquility, harmony and safe guard of nature since several decades. The people are self conscious regarding protecting of natural resources right from vivid flora and fauna, says Sikkim Chief Minister Dr. Pawan Kumar Chamling.
CM addressed in his discussion at Mintogang with the most eminent environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna yesterday make all necessary policies to preserve the Himalayan region from climate change. Since the SDF government has come into power the people across the Sikkim has fully matured in terms of conservation of environment. The people of Sikkim living in all the districts, rural sector are supplied with LPG connectivity which is the greatest achievement which has tremendously decreased felling of tree for firewood. The State Green Mission provided a immense success rate for awareness of people’s realization towards importance of environment, said Chamling.
Sunderlal Bahuguna praised Chamling for his devotion towards the environment and his concern for making Sikkim most promising and eco-friendly unlike any other place in the world.
