Bihari Jagaran Manch (BJM) strongly criticized government, terms as 'influential bureaucracy'
02 Nov, Gangtok: The Bihari Jagaran Manch (BJM) has strongly criticized Chamling government for not providing basic amenities , central schemes to 40,000 old migrated bihari in Sikkim. BJM president Swaminath Prasad stated that ,”40,000 Old Bihari communities who has been living in Sikkim since past decades are facing a turmoil in each and every aspects. They are treated quite differently in various offices, they are either turned down from the office. A serious concern over trade license in fact which they have a right to avail is not being issued under pretexts.” He adds that, while the Urban Development and Housing Development (UD&HD) authorities ask for residency certificate for issuance of trade licences to the migrant people, the local authorities were not issuing the document to the needy despite the fact that they have been issued voter identity cards and ration cards by the subordinate officials.
Prasad further alleged that the distress of the migrant people have been compounded further as the UD&HD authorities have taken away the licences of about 10,000 hawkers, mostly from Bihar, some months back for the purpose of verification but the papers were not being returned to enable them earn their livelihood.
While Prasad quoting over the IT exemption he said , “Chief Minister is not at all concerned about the Bihari community, he terms as ‘influential bureaucracy’. He demanded that community should be exempted from IT since all criteria is fulfilled despite government is not keen over the matter.”

Sikkim Buoracracy thinks people from other States as petty human beings.They forget that their pay packet of 852 Government to support these IAS-IPS. You have put these people on wall so the reaction has started.It cannot stophere. It will bloom beacause Beaurocracy should not feel that they are protected by Artcile 371F.If Sikiim fails in its duty and if India fails in its duty then UNO is there to settle the issue.
