V B Pathak appointed as Sikkim CEO
15 Oct, Gangtok: Vijay Bhushan Pathak, secretary department of Health, Human Care and family has been appointed as Chief Electoral Officer of Sikkim by Election Commission of India. Mr Pathak has succeeded Chief Secretary T T Dorji, who was assigned for the said post for last 12 years.
Election Commission of India has directed that Mr Pathak will only hold the post of Chief Electoral Officer and will not assigned any additional charges of state government departments.
Pathak has experienced of conducting more than eight Assembly and Parliamentary elections for Sikkim when he had assumed the post of District Returning Officer for South and East Districts and has served as election observers for more than dozens of election in different state of India.

There after …will be the CS and…. tata ….bye bye to local officers ……Sikkims new generation should ponder over this matter and request , beg our beauracrats to stop accepting IAS ,IPS and IFS for personal gain.

Their is confusion in the understanding of the word-Local. Local in Sikkim should mean everybody who was born in Sikkim or having residence in Sikkim or owner of property in Sikkim before the merger of this Himlayan Kingdom with India.
The term Local cannot mean only a particular class/group of citizens. It encompasses everybody who was in erstwhile kingdom of Sikkim.
Just because a particular group is in majority, it cannot impose everything of its likings.
